Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District – Business Survey

As a key business in the Sheffield City Region (SCR) we are seeking your views on an emerging strategy to create an Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District (AMID) in the Sheffield Rotherham Economic Corridor (SREC). The focus of an Innovation District is to create the conditions that enable innovation, research and technological development to flourish; creating jobs, driving exports and increasing productivity.

We are keen to have your opinion on local innovation assets, the impact they have on your business, and the networks your business is involved in, so that you can influence how the emerging AMID develops.  We will use this information to guide our investments, activities and interventions to get maximum impact for local businesses.  We would be grateful if you were able to take part in the survey.

We believe the Sheffield Rotherham Economic Corridor has an exciting future. It boasts amongst other things the Advanced Manufacturing Park with the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, the Sheffield Business Park and Factory 2050 project, and strong links between higher education and the private sector that are jointly investing in practical innovation and R&D.

With the aim of realising the economic potential of the area, the Innovation District project is being championed by both public and private sector partners including Sheffield City Council, Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council, Sheffield Hallam University, University of Sheffield, and private landowners.
The survey should take about 20 minutes. Any information received will behandled in strict confidence and all results will be anonymous.   We have commissioned Oxford Economics to support us in developing our plans and would value your input.

We would like to take this opportunity to you thank for contributing to this study – we appreciate it.
