The National Metals Technology Centre (NAMTEC) is part of the University of Sheffield's Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC). Originally formed in 2002, NAMTEC improves the competitiveness and sustainability of the metals and related engineering/manufacturing industries throughout the UK.  NAMTEC  provides an innovative technical support programme to industry and deliver direct economic benefit to the UK’s manufacturing base.
